Gas work is one of the few jobs where shortcuts can cost you everything. Every gas fitting project at Tim Whistler Plumbing is handled by a licensed gas fitter and pressure-tested before we leave the property. We've been working across DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia for over 11 years, and we carry the WSSC, VA, and DC gas-fitter licenses to do the work legally and safely.
Most of our gas calls come down to four categories: new appliance hookups (ranges, dryers, water heaters, fireplaces, generators), outdoor line runs for grills and fire pits, leak detection and repair, and full line replacements in older homes where the original piping is at the end of its life.
If you smell gas, hear hissing near a fitting, or notice a sudden spike in your gas bill, call us before anything else. We treat every suspected leak as a same-day priority, day or night.
We work with both natural gas and propane, indoor and outdoor lines, and we coordinate directly with WSSC, Washington Gas, and county inspectors for permitted work. Older neighborhoods in Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Old Town Alexandria, and Northwest DC frequently have aging galvanized or undersized gas lines that need upgrading during a kitchen remodel or appliance change, and we can scope and price the job up front.
Gas leak detection and repair, new gas line installation, gas appliance connections (ranges, dryers, water heaters, fireplaces, generators, pool heaters), outdoor gas line runs for grills and fire pits, gas line replacement and upsizing, pressure testing, code compliance, permit handling, and 24/7 emergency response for suspected leaks across Montgomery, Howard, Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, Frederick, Bethesda, Tyson's Corner, and Springfield.
If you smell gas, plan to add a new appliance, or need to replace an aging line, call Tim Whistler Plumbing at 1-866-477-6190. Licensed across DC, Maryland, and Virginia, available 24/7 for gas emergencies.
