The DoW SkillBridge program lets you spend your last 180 days of military service training with a civilian employer — while still receiving your full military pay and benefits. You learn a trade. We provide the training. And you walk into a career on your ETS date.

You'll need approval from your first field-grade commander (O-4+). We provide documentation to support your request.

What you need to know.

Who is eligible?

Any active-duty service member within 180 days of separation or retirement, with O-4+ commander approval. All branches welcome.

Do I need trade experience?

No. Zero prerequisites. Whether you were infantry, logistics, or admin — we train you from the ground up.

Do I keep my military pay?

Yes. Full military pay, BAH, benefits, and leave accrual throughout the entire program.

Is there any cost?

None. No training fees, no equipment costs, no GI Bill required. Completely free to you.

What happens after the program?

The goal is a full-time job offer before your program ends. We hire directly and connect graduates with our partner network.

Where are your locations?

HQ in Silver Spring, MD. We serve the entire DC Metro area near Fort Belvoir, Andrews, Meade, Quantico, and the Pentagon.

How long is the program?

Up to 180 days depending on your separation timeline. We can accommodate shorter timelines if needed.
